Using Tackroom

You must be legally able to enter a contract and have authority to record the information you add. Keep your device secure — it holds the records — and ensure horse, contact and provider information is factual, relevant and entered lawfully.

The downloaded iOS application is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless an App Store listing supplies a replacement.

Records and professional decisions

Tackroom organizes evidence. It does not diagnose, prescribe, recommend a dose or replace a vet, governing body, insurer, organizer or other qualified professional.

Rule and competition tools are planning aids. Draft or missing evidence must not be treated as a compliance verdict. Current official sources and professional advice take precedence.

You remain responsible for checking the accuracy, completeness and suitability of records before relying on or sharing them.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you enter. The app processes your records on your device. Optional backup and Care Circle use Apple CloudKit. Tackroom does not operate a separate server for your private horse library. Information you send to support or through optional diagnostics is described in the privacy notice.

Anything you export is a file you create and send yourself. Treat an exported pack like any other private document: once it is sent, where it goes is up to you.

Plans, purchases and cancellation

Paid digital features are purchased through the App Store. Prices, billing period, trial terms and renewal details shown in the App Store purchase sheet control the transaction. Manage or cancel renewal through your Apple account.

Restore Purchases is available in the app. Nothing you have already recorded is taken away when a paid plan ends, and export is never withheld: a lapsed plan limits what you can add, never what you can read or take with you.

Acceptable use

• Do not enter unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringing content.
• Do not impersonate a professional or falsely mark evidence as professionally verified.
• Do not probe, overload, reverse engineer or bypass access, expiry, rate-limit or subscription controls except where law expressly permits.
• Do not use Tackroom to advertise, distribute malware or expose another person's private information without authority.

Availability and responsibility

Tackroom aims to preserve an offline record and make supported online services reliable, but networks, device storage, third-party services and preview features can fail. Keep appropriate backups and use the free export tools.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights. Subject to those rights, Tackroom is not responsible for a decision made from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unconfirmed evidence, or for loss caused by an external service outside Tackroom's reasonable control.

Suspension, deletion and changes

Export a copy before starting Delete records in Settings. Cleanup requires access to the relevant Apple cloud services. The app retains local records until remote cleanup succeeds, records progress and lets you resume an unfinished phase. Completed cleanup removes this device's records and managed files, private Tackroom backups and assets, and owned Care Circle data. It leaves joined shares without deleting another owner's records.

Deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription, remove another device's local library, recall exported copies or erase support emails. Contact us about information you sent by email.

Material term changes will be dated and communicated where required. If you do not accept a material change, stop using the service and cancel any renewal before it takes effect.

Law and contact

These terms do not remove the consumer protections that apply where you live. Disputes may be heard by the courts with jurisdiction under the consumer law that applies to you. Your subscription itself is a purchase from Apple under the App Store terms.
